When we last left off...

So a lot has happened since I last posted here.Things of important  note I got married to my best friend and love of my life Eric=) So that is a pretty big thing. I might have to share some  pictures in this blog but most are on my Facebook. This being one of my top favorites. It was a beautiful day filled with loving friends and family. So grateful and lucky to share my life with amazing people.

We spent our Honeymoon in Paris and Rome=) Such a spectacular trip.

Paris is a place like no other. It was cold(we went in April). It rained at least a little everyday, we didn't speak even a hint of the language, we forgot all manner of proper weather clothing and it still was the most amazing experience. It is rich in history, the people we encountered were helpful and kind, the city has a wonderful transportation system that is very comprehensive. The Eiffel Tower at night is breathtaking. The French country side enchanted us. Seeing Winged Victory in all her glory brought a tear to my eye. Walking around central Paris you see a prefect mixture of old world meets modern world. The history is preserved and important. A gorgeous old building isn't torn down to build a skyscraper. It is remolded form the inside to make way for the new shops and business. I could carry on for a very long time about how much in love we are with Paris but I will spare you.....sort of.

 Love in Paris
Rome had some really great moments but overall I was very surprised by the city itself. Highlights included the Roman Coliseum. It has been something I wanted to see since I was in school studying the ancient worlds.Walking up Mount Vesuvius and looking out to see Italy. The low lights included the transit system and overall rude people.A special not should also be made that Roman graffiti is both ancient and modern and they do not go about hiding it in both cases. We took our Roman holiday in our room on May 1st and made the best of it=) We relaxed, napped and ate much like Romans=) I can get more pictures of Rome on a later post.

So much has happened in these months since I posted last months. I will try to update more often...no promises....

Eric and I are on the look out for a home of our own, and that is a big adventure that we have barely scratched the surface of.

I hope we are up for the challenge!

Best of wishes to you and yours=)

Long Time No Blog

I knew it was only a matter of time before I got to busy to blog....but here we go again=)
It has been a few (or more)amazing months for me! The most exciting  news being that Eric and I are engaged! He surprised the snot out of me on our trip to California. Memorial Day weekend we went to visit his best friend Eric and our friend Viktoria. They live in a beautiful city Sunnyvale (I still think of Sunnydale)not very far from San Fransisco.I had such an amazing time being shown around the Eric's old stomping grounds back when they worked for NASA.
On our one year anniversary we went in to San Fransisco. We went to the Wharf, The Aquarium, The Palace of Fine Arts and of course the Golden Gate Bridge.

At the Wharf with Alcatraz in the background.

Viktoria and Eric

The Aquarium had some neat exhibits and a few pools that you could pet some of the creatures. Interesting but I am told that the one in Dallas has a rain forest through out it...gotta check that out.
The Ericz!

A Shark! It was a tiny one but we pet it.

I pet a live Starfish.

The Palace of Fine Arts.So very pretty.

Our last stop in San Francisco we went to the Golden Gate Bridge. Stopped off at the tourist picture spots and took a few nice pictures. My Eric had insisted we stopped by a less traveled tourist spot by the Batteries. I was still very unaware of his master plan. The other Eric and Viktoria made an excuse to not join us right away. Still I remained in the dark. Eric and I started traversing our way through the trails towards the edge of these cliffs facing the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was windy and cold but we found a tree to break the chill. It was a very beautiful spot and as I started to take a few pictures.I noticed Eric moving out of the corner of my eye so I turned around and he had a ring=) It was an amazing and unexpected surprise to say the least. As you can guess I said Yes. This moment will stand out in my mind from here to the end of my life. Here is the ring!
My Engagement Ring!

I will work on keeping up with this blog thing..though I do get distracted by other such things. Now Eric and I have a wedding to plan and the rest of our lives to look forward to.What a lucky girl I am!
